Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously when she first enrolled in Stanford University. Early successes were with films like Pleasantville, Election and Legally Blonde. It was her portrayal as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde's box office smash that set the stage for her acting career. Witherspoon later won the Academy Award in the year 2005 for her role in Walk the Line. Water for Elephants This Means War was among her most recent movies she starred in.
